Øteach your children

Why do I seem to attract all the loud mouth, immature teenagers? seriously what the hell is with that?

this is a conversation between me and a PETA street team member (apparently) she doesn't like that fact that I am against PETA, the 'conversation' went as such:

~allietellurique you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
I'm part of the Street Team for PETA.

you're on my shit list BITCH.

*signals im scared. anyway the court documents are publicly available, I wont waste my time convincing the brainwashed. good day.

Support your local SPCA and the ASPCA.

*signals by the way, making threatening comments and using foul language only shows your immaturity and ignorance. You might need to grow up and wise up a few years so as to loose that typical teenage attitude.

~allietellurique well 1)I am a teenager and 2)you need to get a life.
you think you're so high and mighty cause you work for the ASPCA.
yeah? well I'm part of the organizations and protests for PETA.
don't you think I'd know what they do, considering I'm around them all the time?
And if the ASPCA is so great, how come after a certain period of time, when no one adopts an animal, THEY KILL THEM.
that's murder.
and there is no getting past that. that is fact.
I don't know why you would even post this up here.
no one cares about your stupid political views, NO ONE CARES.
so leave that stuff with yourself, don't share it with everyone else.
you were asking for trouble with this and you know it.
and you think that just because you try to talk smart and sophisticated cause you make yourself sound so serious... you're a trip.
what? were you raised in a laboratory?
they can't bo so bad considering all the information they give out to people so that they can understand that you don't need meat to survive.
But not just myself, but I have friends in PETA who work with me.
KEEP YOUR POLITICAL VIEWS HIDDEN AWAY.
and don't bother replying to this comment; I can't stand to see your bullshit anymore.

*signals I never said I worked for the ASPCA you assumed that. I am however an ASPCA guardian, as I donate money to them on a monthly basis as well as UNICEF, GOAL & JGI (Jane Goodall Institute) and I do in fact have a life.

And if the ASPCA is so great, how come after a certain period of time, when no one adopts an animal, THEY KILL THEM.
that's murder.

an unfortunate truth of all animal shelters ASPCA or otherwise (including PETA), but its been proven in court that PETA kills a far higher percentage, why is that?

I don't know why you would even post this up here.
no one cares about your stupid political views, NO ONE CARES.

because I can, despite your views being against it, and you can clearly see by the large number of people who use this stamp by reading the comments that some people do care about my views though for the sake of the discussion at hand they are ethical not political.

so leave that stuff with yourself, don't share it with everyone else.

leave what to myself exactly? and no I wasn't asking for any trouble I wasn't asking for anything, your not the only one who has commented against this but at least they were mature about their disagreement. I don't try to 'talk' like anything you just fail to recognize that I am more mature than you and don't loose my temper over something posted on the internet. just because someone doesn't like something you are a part of is no reason to act like a child. no I was born in Harris Methodist Hospital downtown Fort Worth, Texas.

information like eating eggs are eating baby chickens? despite the fact that hens can lay unfertilized eggs without a rooster? and that all USDA eggs are in fact unfertilized?

I don't have to keep any of my views hidden away I am a legal working, voting, tax paying adult. PETA doesn't like vegetarians by the way so I hope you are 100% vegan. if you cant stand to see my 'bullshit' (remember you started this discussion) then don't look at this deviation. this is a public website (please remember that) you don't have to look at anything you don't want to but you don't have the right to tell someone they can or cant do anything. (if you don't want to see my account or its work then block me its quite simple I will show you how if you would like.) oh and I bothered, get over it.

~allietellurique you're fake.
end of discussion.

=BDninja your an idiot

~allietellurique oh stfu.
why don't you just go suck some more cock, eh?

now seriously, what the fuck? .....I love the internet, eh no I loath it.

It's a little bit funny...

Journal Entry: Wed Feb 20, 2008, 1:51 AM

Øa few words

Thank you Elton John for the title of this journal.

This afternoon (Tuesday) I was thinking.... I am no photographer, I've never taken any classes, or had any other kind of training, but I suppose thats obvious by looking at my gallery, but I come to a realization.... Photography has become so dull nowadays. Don't get me wrong I am throughly in love with this hobby, but I have noticed that so many people are more concerned with how great their camera is, or which one(s) are better and arguing over the littlest details and scrutinizing every little aspect of their equipment, or even equipment that has yet to hit the market! I find this rather sad to be honest. listening to people argue over Full Frame, mega-pixels, Sonic Drive Motors (SDM), IS/SR (shake reduction/Image stabilization) camera weight, materials, etc, etc, etc... To what end I ask?
Admittedly I am a brand loyalist, but its not about Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, etc, etc... Its about taking pictures and not spending your time arguing about what takes better pictures because of this or that. If you are a pro photographer I guess it would matter to an extent but how many of us are pros?
I saw a guy a month ago or so when I was out taking pictures, he wasn't any older than me, but he was carrying a nikon something? DSLR with a big honkin' zoom telephoto lens. He was so tentative about exposing his camera to the elements, he kept picking it up and looking through the viewfinder and adjusting the focal length and focus like he was taking pictures and then would 'ever so gently' set it down onto a folded up towel. I kept thinking to myself is he showing off? so I walked up beside him with my little K110D DSLR and an old takumar 135mm prime lens (this lens is screw-mount and looks small on my small camera!) and started snapping pictures, I was enjoying myself. I notice him look over at me and he gave me this smug look so I said want to snap a few? and extended my camera towards him. he wasn't impressed with my pentax. Why have such a camera and not use it? was his (estimate) $1200 nikon a trophy? a badge of honour? as if to say I'm better than you!
I wonder how he would have reacted if I had my k1000? I think people are loosing touch with what makes photography so great. taking pictures not owning the best cameras with the most features and the biggest lenses.
Yes all this new technology is grand, and it can improve anyones photographs or even make a person who has never used a camera before seem like he/she knows what they are doing. Whats wrong with that? Well for me it seems to take the enjoyment right out of photography. I didn't really have this feeling until I started using my newly acquired K1000 35mm but after using it for a couple of days and learning to grasp the concept of actually thinking about a shot before taking it instead of using my DSLR to simply "point and shoot" and if I didn't like it simply delete it and try again. yes my camera was in manual mode but its just not the same.
I am not trying to be 'vintage' or create photos that look like they've been in a box for 30+ years or anything else (disregard my new ID picture) I just simply feel that this is more enjoyable without all the modern technology. Film is more expensive to shoot, without a doubt and I don't plan on leaving my DSLR behind, but I have decided that I am going to do most of my work on film from now on. I will decide the best method of posting pictures so for now you wont see anything from my film, but you will in due time. I end this journal with a suggestion... If you like photography, and you really want to have an understanding of what it's like to really take photographs pick up a manual film camera and some cheap fuji or kodak film and learn how to use it. You will be happy you did.

......or maybe all of this is bullshit and I just like to go backwards when everyone else is firmly going forwards.

Peace

here is a video (youtube) that I was linked too from the pentaxforums that I think really describes my feelings (in a strange way) towards photography, its a cute video as well.

Asahi Pentax ca. 1970

Tuesday, afternoon,
I'm just beginning to see,
Now I'm on my way,
It doesn't matter to me,
Chasing the clouds away.

Something, calls to me,
The trees are drawing me near,
I've got to find out why
Those gentle voices I hear
Explain it all with a sigh.

I'm looking at myself, reflections of my mind,
It's just the kind of day to leave myself behind,
So gently swaying thru the fairy-land of love,
If you'll just come with me and see the beauty of

Tuesday afternoon.

'Humans — who enslave, castrate, experiment on, and fillet other animals — have had an understandable penchant for pretending animals do not feel pain. A sharp distinction between humans and 'animals' is essential if we are to bend them to our will, make them work for us, wear them, eat them — without any disquieting tinges of guilt or regret. It is unseemly of us, who often behave so unfeelingly toward other animals, to contend that only humans can suffer. The behavior of other animals renders such pretensions specious. K10D will wait.

Journal Entry: Fri Feb 8, 2008, 7:18 AM

Øyep

Well, I decided to wait on the K10D. there are two reasons, a new DA Limited lens (smc PENTAX-DA 1:2.8 35mm Macro Limited 1:1)expected in April, that I just refuse to be without, so I will save up some cash for the expected $599 price tag, though I wont be buying it as soon as it goes on sale. and the other reason is my love of vintage equipment got the better of me again, and I have just purchased a custom K1000. I'm just waiting for it to arrive. This is an early Japanese market model K with a green leather covering replacing the original black leatherette covering. It is just plain gorgeous.
